Types of makeup brushes and Their Uses.
Hello guys. After the post of How to make up as a beginner, I thought of bringing you the different names and uses of the brushes you need for your make up.
Remember that you don’t need to own all of these brushes to have a great makeup and some of these brushes actually have more than one use. So you can actually have a few and still have a great make up.
This brush is one of the most basic makeup brushes you need for makeup. If you have been applying Your foundation with your fingers, it is time to stop it and look for a foundation brush. I used to do it all the time, but since I learned that there was a foundation brush, and its importance it made it easier to apply my foundation and made my makeup to have a smooth finished look. The bristle of the foundation brush are tightly packed for a great application.
For application, start putting the make up in the middle of your face and then use the brush to blend outwards.
This is also one other very essential brushes needed for your makeup. This brush is flat, smaller at the smaller end of the spectrum and also taller at the middle of the brush. They are used to apply concealer product on the dark circles under your eyes, areas of discoloration, scars and breakout.
In application, use the brush to add 3 dots of your product on your skin, and dab the concealer to blend it into your skin and you can use the tip of your brush to get to areas not easily reachable.
Brows or Lashes
This brush allows you to comb your brows and lashes. Before doing your brows its always good to comb the hair of your brow so they look aligned and organized. This is the perfect brush for it. The brush is designed for grooming the eyelashes and application of mascara.
The Angled brush
This is one of my favorite brushes. The angled nature of the brush allows it to define your brows when drawing your brows giving it that perfect curvy nature. It is also used to fill areas which are not dense or scanty areas. I.e u can use it to fill in your brows so that they don’t look scanty and most importantly, use this brush to clean up the edges of your brows or lips using concealer.
This brush can be used for liquid or creams like the foundation or concealer creams. It provides buildable coverage for foundation and can be used to apply blush as well. Apply you foundation on you hand and get the cream on the white bristle, pat the brush against your skin, don’t’t press hard and swirl the brush around to blend everything together.
Small stippling brush
use this brush to get the liquid or cream into smaller corners of your face. You can also use this duo fiber brush to apply blush or to sweep off powder from your face.
Bronzer brushed have a wide fluffy bristle with a rounded top. If you use a brush that is too small, this will leave streaks and blotches on your face.
This brush is used to highlight your face, clean out fallout also useful for light powder application. It is fun to use this brush if you don’t want much powder on your face.

This is one of my favorite brushes. I use this brush to apply my powder foundation and to set my powder. The bristles are also made to do body contour and to blend your cheek color.
This tightly packed, small dome-shaped, is very good for blending and used to achieve smokey eyes. Use it to blend cream, powder, and pencil eyeliners. It is found in two sizes with the smaller brush is for the lower eyelid and the larger one for the upper eyelid.
This brush is used for applying eye shadows and packing of intense colors on your eyelid. It has been designed in a manner that you can use it to get a full lid coverage.

For the other side of the brush that looks like a small comb, use it to seperate by natural lashes to get rid of residue mascara.

Most people understand the simple use of this brush. It is used to pack the put eyeshadow on the upper lid, cut your crease and most of all precise the blending of your eyeshadow.
The Contour brush
Countouring is just that other sweet part of making up. It makes your nose look thiner, it is used to achieve diverse shapes of your face. Therefore, a contour brush is very important to achieve these. The brush is an angled-tipped brush to help achieve precise contour lines with firm bristles so you don’t have left over powder lines.
